The Master Gardener Program works with a number of Community Programs, Agencies, and Organizations.

The Master Gardeners operate through the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE), a joint venture between UC Davis, our local land grant university, and the County of Alameda. At UCCE, staff work with academic advisors to provide nutrition and educational services to Alameda County residents.
County Department of Environmental Health
UCCE and the the Master Gardener Program are proud to be under the auspices of the Environmental Health Department of Alameda County. Environmental Health deals with many issues that affect the health of the Alameda County residents.
Alameda County Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures
Master Gardeners help spread the word about invasive plant and insect species.
Master Gardeners help find gardens for the Bay Friendly Garden Tour and provide volunteer docent staffing for the tour. The Master Gardener Program distributes brochures for the Bay friendly Program and the compost bin program at Farmers' Markets and Master Gardener events.

City Slickers builds raised bed gardens in homes in Oakland. The Master Gardener Program helps by providing gardening mentors for the Backyard Gardening program.
